Voting with a Gnosis Safe

Introduction:

In this tutorial, we will walk you through the process of connecting to the Synthetix Governance dapp using Gnosis Safe, adding the Synthetix Governance custom app to Gnosis, and then participating in the Synthetix Council governance process.

Prerequisites:

1. A Gnosis Safe wallet set up.

2. Staked Synthetix (SNX) tokens in your Gnosis Safe before the election has begun

Step 1: Add the Synthetix Governance Custom App to Gnosis Safe

1.1 Visit the Gnosis Safe web interface: https://gnosis-safe.io/app/

1.2. Connect your Web3 wallet by clicking on the "Connect" button and follow the instructions.

1.3. After connecting your Web3 wallet, select the Gnosis Safe wallet you want to use for interacting with the Synthetix Governance dApp.

1.4. Click on the "Apps" tab in the left sidebar.

1.5. Scroll down to the bottom and click on the "Add custom app" button.

1.6. Enter the following URL for the Synthetix Governance custom app: governance.synthetix.io

1.7. Click "Add," and the Synthetix Governance app will now appear in the list of available apps within your Gnosis Safe wallet.

Step 2: Voting on the Synthetix Governance App (During Election Period)

2.1. Click on the Synthetix Governance app (via the Gnosis Safe app) to open it.

2.2. You will now see a list of the four governing bodies that stakers elect

2.2. Click on the “Vote” button for each council and then vote for one member of each council. You can change your voting preferences at any time before the election concludes.
