What are Synthetix Leveraged Tokens?

Synthetix Leveraged Tokens provide easy access to leverage on a variety of assets.

Leveraged Tokens are tokenized representations of leveraged Perps positions that automatically rebalance and do not require margin management, cannot be liquidated, and can be redeemed at any time.

While Leveraged Tokens cannot be liquidated, they can lose value over time due to rebalancing fees or asset movement in the wrong direction.

How to mint a Leveraged Token

1. Use the mint widget on leverage.synthetix.io

2. Connect your wallet

3. Select your desired desired:

   1. Asset (BTC, ETH, SOL etc.)

   2. Direction (long or short)

   3. Leverage factor (2x-10x)

   4. Tokens to mint with (e.g., USDC)

   5. Amount to mint (e.g., 1000 USDC)

4. Approve the spending cap transaction

5. Mint the Leveraged Token

Redeeming your Leveraged Token

After minting, you'll receive an ERC-20 token in your wallet that corresponds with your position.

To view your active Leveraged Tokens and their current value, click on the Portfolio tab.

To redeem your Leveraged Token for it's current value, click "Redeem" and select the desired amount.

Select the token you'd like to receive, and click "Redeem" to sign the transaction.
