The keeper network monitors prices and triggers rebalancing events

Leveraged tokens require regular rebalances to maintain their leverage factor within the target range. As a critical part of the SLX protocol, it is important that these keepers are decentralized and reliable. This is achieved by using Chainlink Automation product as the primary keeper.

The SLX leveraged tokens are composable and built to work with any keeper system, allowing for full flexibility in the future. The system is however permissioned as a security measure. A list of rebalancers is maintained in the AddressProvider which are addresses that are able to rebalance leveraged tokens. However, new keepers can be added through governance.
