To start trading on Synthetix Exchange, you must first connect your account. Click the Connect button in the top right corner of the screen, or Connect Wallet in the order entry panel.
You can log in using Google or Email. Both methods generate an Alchemy Smart Wallet, which becomes your Synthetix Account.
Google Login
Click Sign in with Google.
A pop-up window will appear prompting you to select a Google account.
Once selected, your Synthetix Account will be created automatically, and you will be logged in.
Email Login
Enter your email address and click Continue.
Check your email inbox for a one-time passcode.
Enter the passcode in the login window to complete the authentication process.
Creating a Passkey
For easier login, you can create a Passkey linked to your associated email or Google account on your device. You may complete this step immediately after signing up, or complete this step later. To set your Passkey at signup, simply follow the prompts.
To set your passkey later, follow these steps:
Navigate to Account Management.
Click New Passkey.
Follow the prompts for your device.
Account Finalization
Your Synthetix Account must be created onchain to complete signup. This could take a minute or two. To finalize your account, accept the terms and conditions, then wait for the automated account creation process to complete.
EVM Wallet Login
Advanced users may connect their existing Web3 wallets.
Click Connect Wallet.
Select your preferred EVM-compatible wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Rainbow Wallet).
Approve the connection request in your wallet.
Note: Users logging in with an EVM wallet will be responsible for ETH gas fees on transactions associated with creating a Futures Account, or submitting trades directly to the network. SeeStarting/Stopping 1CT for account abstraction tools available to EVM wallets.
After creating your Synthetix Account, you will be prompted to deposit a supported asset. To deposit funds later, you can access the deposit modal at any time by clicking your unique account address in the top right and selecting Deposit from the account management menu.

Making a deposit to Synthetix Exchange is quick and easy, and can be done through an external wallet, or any centralized exchange supporting withdrawals on Base.
Here's how to deposit:
Choose an asset to deposit (e.g., USDC).
Select a supported network. Base is the currently supported network for Synthetix Perps v3.
Copy the provided EVM deposit address, or scan the QR code with your wallet or centralized exchange app to send funds. Please ensure both the network and asset match those supported by Synthetix Exchange.
Wait for 1 confirmation (about 1-2 seconds) for the deposit to be credited to your Synthetix Account.
Note: Please ensure both the network and asset match those supported by Synthetix Exchange. Recovery of unsupported deposits will require an export of your Synthetix Account private key.
Once funds are deposited into your Synthetix Account, they must be transferred to your Futures Account to be used for trading.
You will be prompted to transfer funds during setup. You may transfer additional funds at any time by selecting the Transfer button, or accessing your account settings by clicking your address at the top right of the page. To transfer funds to your Futures Account:
Ensure funds are deposited in your Synthetix Account.
Ensure the direction of your transfer is from your Synthetix Account and to your Futures Account.
Enter the amount to transfer (minimum $50 is required to open a position).
Click Approve and Transfer to complete the transfer.
Important: Margin transferred to your Futures Account will be used to back open positions, pay trading fees, and cover liquidations. Funds in the Synthetix Account are not used for trading fees or liquidation risk.
If you've skipped any of the previous steps when setting up your account such as funding or passkey creation, you can always access these steps right from your account settings.
With your account fully set up, you are now ready to start trading!
Most centralized exchanges, such as Coinbase, Bybit, Mexc, OKX, and Crypto.com support withdrawal of supported assets such as ETH and USDC on Base. If your exchange does not support Base withdrawals, you can and .
To transfer assets back from your Futures Account to your Synthetix Account, follow the steps above but select the arrows to reverse the direction of the transfer. Only assets in your Synthetix Account can be withdrawn to an EOA or exchange address. Futures Accounts with negative PnL before funds are available to transfer.
To access account settings, visit , or click your account address in the top right and select Account. Here you can see your deposited assets, create a passkey, or initiate new deposits and withdrawals to and from your Synthetix Account.
